I have always had a passion for writing. Whether it was sitting outside in the grass of my Upstate New York home when I was younger writing poetry or short stories, or just imagining far away places and jotting down ideas to escape where I was. Writing has always been an integral part of my life.
I have been published in my collegiate literary magazine, self-published a book of my poetry, as well as my first children’s book, The Wee-Dunkers, and I have several other writing projects underway. This book; Rescued, Redeemed, Remade: Rising Out of an Abusive Past, is my first non-fiction work. In it I share of God’s amazing love in rescuing me out of my abusive past, and I share the process God used to bring me out. My hope in writing from this vulnerable place is to give you hope, the kind of hope that comes from knowing you are an overcomer, not merely a victim of what you have endured. With practical steps and deep insight into this sensitive issue, I encourage my readers to find freedom from the past, freedom in the present, and freedom to move into the healed, restored, blessed future that God has for them.
I reside in Virginia where I own my own business, I am the very proud mother of two amazing young adults, and I have one old, but very cute three-legged cat. I love reading, writing, long walks in beautiful places, the beach, laughing with friends, helping others in any way I can, and anything that leaves me feeling ‘warm and fuzzy’ inside…
